Colvin Run--Did we get bad service?

My husband and I took my parents to Colvin Run last night for dinner and all found the food to be superb. The bay scallops were incredible. However, after spending about $400 I'm left wondering if the service couldn't have been better. We were seated right outside the kitchen at a big table that presumably usually serves larger parties. It was difficult to carry on a conversation because we were so far away from one another and the ambient noise was considerable. (I should have asked for another table and won't make that mistake again.) The service was surprisingly rushed though overall professional. My specific grips include the following: (1) to accommodate the meat cart that the next table had ordered, the waiter placed their empty white wine caddy right next to my father, who would have needed to move it to get out of the booth; (2) the waiter didn't come by to ask how are meals were; (3) the waiter didn't ask if we wanted more wine; (4) we needed to flag him down for more coffee; and (5) he delivered the check before the dessert plates were cleared. Am I off-base here? Again, the food was spectacular.
