First stop on arrival in Portland was the tiny cafe of Never Coffee Lab for a cappuccino. Made with "Les Truves", a blend of beans from high elevation sites in Peru and Ethiopian, this was bright with fruity notes and torrefaction. The whole milk foam was on the coarse side and the small serving size had a bit too much milk that diluted the flavor impact. The strawberry puff was damp and soggy on the bottom.
In planning my trip a couple months ago, I'd picked this spot due to the specialty, lattes flavored with exotic spices and essences. Of course, I forgot about this at the order counter. Oh well, another time.
