My new coffee grinder gizmo

My coffee grinder died and before it did I was longing for a burr grinder or better. Unfortunately, when it died I couldn't justify spending a lot of money for the grinder of my dreams, also saving my pennies was not an option as I have about two lbs. of whole bean coffee and a Lorelai Gilmore-esque addiction to coffee. I went to target and they had three choices, Mr. Coffee, Kitchenaide and Hamilton Beach. Both Mr C. and KA seemed similar but the Hamilton beach has grind settings and a retractable cord. I bought the Hamilton Beach and am actually quite suprised. Not only can you choose the grind but you can chose how many cups of coffee you need. You press the grind button and it grinds for a set amount of time and then turns off. Gimmicky, yet convenient. I love the retractable cord, it is great when storing the grinder when not in use. So if the ultimate grinder is not on your horizon but you want a basic grinder you may want to give HB a wirl.
