Over the holidays, a friend was lovingly recalling the truffles made at Cocolat, Alice Medrich's wonderful little chain of chocolate shops. A local shop owner here in NJ flew them in once a week, and we ceremoniously purchased some to bring home. We would slowly savor them and swoon. They are long gone. If anyone remembers them, is there a current producer of truffles who is making a very similar product. They were called "California-style" truffles. We've had some good truffles over the years, but these were exceptional. Hopefully, you can suggest a store that will ship. Thanks.
