There is a Boston clam chowder debate going on over at the LA boards, which brought me to reminisce about the best clam chowders I've ever had. Last year, while passing through Seattle to get to Vancouver, we stopped by the Public Market and I had one of the best chowders there. I can't remember the name and need some help here. It was near the end, next to a bakery. This stand had an open grill where people sit around the grill and eat at the counter. The chowder had a broth base and the potatoes were julienned. They also sell fresh/frozen seafood at this stand. Does this help at all? I also recall there being a small dairy of some sort which sold cow paraphernalia nearby. It's also across the street from Pike's Market (I believe you can actually see Pike's Market from this stand). Sorry this is such a terrible description, we have to make a similar trip again later this summer and I'd like have more of this excellent chowder! I can find it when I'm there but I just would a name to this great little stand!
