Decided to swing by on a chow search for lunch today and found they've been open almost a week. All the same smiling faces from the former Grand Palace on Blackstone north of Ashlan.
The dim sum order sheet now has 33 items. I went with my old stand bys to test the waters, Har Kow (#4) 2.39, Pan Fried Shrimp Cakes (#20) 3.39, and the Salt & Pepper Squid 1/2 order (#28) 5.59. Everything was as tasty as ever, one minor nit was the har kow skins seemed a little thicker and more sticky than in the past but it was easy enough to remove the excess and enjoy the plump morsels inside. Place was packed between 12-1 PM. Billing themselves as:
New City Chinese Cuisine - Dim Sum and Mandarin
1484 E. Shaw Ave (next to Red Lobster)
Lots to explore on their regular menus, 23 seafood items, 24 Chef's Special Dishes, 11 Hot Clay Pots.
