City Crepe

gab | Apr 11, 2003 12:00 PM

City Crepe opened two weeks ago on Columbus between 72nd and 73rd. I've tried two different types so far, a sweet crepe with bananas and ice cream and chocolate, and a savory crepe with scrambled eggs and cheese. Both were excellent. Especially good was the quality of the crepe itself.

The guys working there told me that the owners are looking to expand downtown, possibly to Union Square, so good news for you downtowners who shudder at the thought of the Upper West Side.

My only complaint is that they could use a counter with a few stools. There's a bench outside, but that wasn't too useful to me today, given the weather. They said that downtown they were looking to have double the space so that there'd be room for seating.
