Went for lunch today and although we only had a few things, it was very nice. The place is airy and full of energy and music. At my age I might have preferred more normal chairs to the low re-purposed ottomans (I'm guessing) that we sat on, but it added to the sense of foreign-ness. The general theme of the place is similar to 100 Montaditos, a chain that started in Spain and has spread to the US.

To start, we shared a tasty plate of cheese and meats that came with a few good rolls, some gherkins, and a good little bowl of guava (guessing again) butter. Then we shared a good sized bowl of ensalada de barcelona that was well balanced and dressed. We then had a few of those nice small sandwiches, but I would suggest you choose others than the cheesesteak. Not that it was bad, but the cheese and veggie ones were much better. I'd like to try the shrimp salad next time.

We also had dessert - something called a "love cake". It was almost a chocolate lava cake and came covered in a sweet, gooey fudge sauce. Very nice. Although we chose not to partake at our early lunch, the drinks, especially the sangrias, looked good. Next time.

Worth a visit.
