CIA visit stymied--saturday lunch around Hyde Park or at points south?

My fiancee and I had planned to go to the CIA for lunch this weekend with another couple, but we didn't realize until this week that each couple thought the other was making reservations. Idiocy, I know. Anyhow, we're now unsurprisingly boxed out of the CIA plan--both the restaurants there that are open for weekend lunch are booked. So now we're trying to salvage our plan by finding someplace tasty for lunch that's in that general area or south of there along the road to Manhattan.

I posted last week with a general request for day-trip destinations out of Manhattan (to inaugurate our new Mini)--sorry to be asking for info again, but I hope the relative specificity of the request will make it easy to respond to and useful for future chowhounds. I have hunted around the site, but for someone, like me, who's not so good on their tri-state geography, figuring out whether places referred to are feasible location-wise is not so easy. I'm aware of Twist, for example, but would like a prettier venue, and I've also seen a couple threads concerning Hyde Park area spots, but would appreciate any response folks could give to this Saturday lunch, Hyde Park or south quandary I've bumbled into.

Thanks, and I'll report back. Hopefully too our new wheels will enable us to discover places and add to, rather than simply preying on, the fund of knowledge on this board.
