Churros in Redwood City

Yimster | Jan 10, 200406:21 PM

Today after attending a Thai cooking class I was driving on Middlefield Road on the border of Menlo Park and Redwood City I saw a man cooking Churros on a street corner.
For three dollars I had a bag with three freshly fried churros. It is on the corner of Sixth and Middlefield his hours are 1:00PM to 8:00PM seven days a week.
He has been at this site for three months. He is not part of the store which he cooks in front of. He told me that he has been doing this for three years in Mexico.
I had to stand in line to get my churros. There were three people infront of me and when I left there were three people behind me.
When hot they were wonderful but when cooled the got hard. Well we now have Tortas, Taco Aqua Fresha and now fresh fried churros.
I do not need to go to Mexico for wonderful Mexican food. The food comes to me in Redwood City.
