Christmas Day dinner

Gypsy Boy | Dec 13, 2004 06:18 PM

This is her first Christmas here. She's a Southern California girl come here just to marry me (aw shucks). And not only is the weather not going to be what she favors for the next few months, she's here all by herself, far from family, friends, etc.
I'm Jewish, so Christmas dinner is not something with which I am overly familiar. She'd like to go out for dinner on Christmas Day and, being the nice guy I am, I'd like to oblige her.
We live in Andersonville and her specifications have been few, so far. She'd prefer something more casual. I'm not too picky about where, though north side generally (near suburbs would be okay, I guess, as would nearish south side). Price is more or less irrelevant, though I would guess "casual" will take care of that. We both eat just about everything, though I would imagine something traditional "with a twist" would probably be the best choice. And no, I'm not sure exactly what I mean when I say "with a twist" except that she enjoys slightly offbeat, as do I.
If there are any other questions I can answer, please ask.
It would be nice to surprise her with something other than wind chill.
