Add the Pignoli Cookies at Epicurious to your list of must bakes. They are a little expensive to make, needing 2 cans of almond paste, not the marzipan in tubes, but they are so good that they are worth the expense. When I made them last year people would just moan with pleasure. You really don't need to top with pignoli, a sliced almond or two will be good too. Crispy on the outside and creamy in, excellent macaroons.
