I moved here from SF (after a detour in DC for a year) only a couple of months ago. In SF my favorite thing to do was take the better part of a day to take the streetcar out to the beach, make a chowhoundish stop along the way, wander down the beach, make a chowhoundish stop on the way back. Starting from the Green Line (D or E, Longwood stops), I am wondering if folks can propose some good chowhound tours which use the T to combine appreciation of Boston nature or attractions with chowhoundish pleasures. A tour should last maybe about four to five hours? With brunch and late lunch/early dinner, or lunch and dinner as the two bookends. I hear there's an ocean-facing beach in Revere--any good stuff out there? Any other powerful nature/chowhound combos?
