Three locations, this one opened just in time for Easter- Passover.
I am told that there are three partners. One was on site. I think that he is from Bangladesh. But there is a partner who is Arab and he knows how to cook. The chief food functionary when I went is Christian Orthodox from Syria and overjoyed to have gotten the hell out. The food is toned down for Canadians, but the framework is there. (But then again, not everything in its country of origin is good.) The food is quite OK and for Canadians, good. The felafel was sound but not spectacular. Good humus and tahini, nutty. Generous serving.
An extended shawarma joint menu. Includes shish, fish, they claim a beef-lamb shawarma.
Staff elegantly outfitted and premises tastefully decorated in the flag colours of various Arab countries, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Emirates; also Sudan.
Why a chowfind? Toonie Tuesday! Sandwiches are $2.39 plus tax
Regularly $5.99 to $6.49.
Oops! I just remembered that I had pita today.
