chowdown at Ancient Szechuan in El Cerrito 1/25/15

Ridge | Jan 28, 2015 10:29 AM

On Sunday 7 of us gathered for a lunchtime (ended up being more like "Linner") chowdown at Ancient Szechuan in El Cerrito. We ordered mostly their new menu which has several Hunan dishes on it. It was overall really great in my opinion.

Here is what we ate:

From the Hunan Menu:

4 Steamed love dish filet (two color flatfish slices)
5 Village style sauteed pork
6 Hing Lady Style Chicken Gizzard
8 Fresh chili and soy bean (black bean shark tiger-skin-pepper)
9 Black fungus lemon salad
12 Chuan style cold noodle
14 Spicy shredded potatoes
Sautéed lotus root

From the regular menu:

West Style Spicy Fish Fillet
Tan Tan Noodle
Sesame flatbread
Cabbage in sweet and sour sauce
Sichuan style tea smoked duck with buns
Spicy bacon
