Chow Circles! - a coined term??

wannabechef | Feb 10, 2003 05:23 PM

I was reading some older posts on here today and saw this post

by Jill-O. She used a great term, and I wondered if she in fact coined it, or if it has been used here before. The term is "chow circle".

I guess it would be described as a cluster of "chowhoundish" places all within a few blocks or short distance of each other that one could do in some sort of mini chow-tour.

For instance, this morning I ventured out to Sullivan Street Bakery to try their pizza and olive rolls. Right next door was The Yoghurt Place II (which was GREAT), and then I headed over a few blocks to Balthazar bakery to try some of their stuff.

Another one could be Katz's->Gus's Pickles->Kossars.

Anyone have any other good chow circles? The one in the link above is L&B Spumoni Gardens->Nathans->Mrs. ->Stahl's Knishes - all in Brooklyn.

I'd like to hear everyone's Chow Circle ideas!
