it was a greasefest in our home this evening.

tried the batter sausage, onion rings, chicken tenders, and portobello mushrooms.

batter sausage was good - fried perfectly, and a very meaty taste. i'm a bit ignorant on what kind of sausage it was exactly, but it was ones i think of in bangers and mash - sort of whiteish, but crispy on the outside, before the fried stuff is even added.

onion rings were good, like onion rings oughta be. not tiny onion bits and lame batter here. big, downright HUGE rings, drenched in the same batter they use here - only complaint - the rings tended to slide out of the batter stuff too much.

chicken tenders were delicious - really tender white meat chicken - if you're only experience with chicken tenders is fast food or "american bistro" type places, you gotta try these.

the friend portobellos were outstanding. i mean, really meaty 'shrooms - they were almost too..."slimey"...close to the consistency of fried oysters, but definitely delicious...

peace,
Tree
