Chinese New Year: Whole roasted pig, Cleveland

Heidi | Jan 24, 200108:04 AM

We went to a New Year's feast last night and the main event was a whole roasted pig. Crisp, crackly skin with moist and tender meat. Excruciatingly rich. Apparently, one can order these in advance from Asia Foods (market), on Payne Ave. anytime. This was a crowd of about 130 guests, so a large pig was provided. The host told me a smaller suckling pig (about 20 lbs.) is a better choice in general and obviously feeds a much smaller group. I thought this would be fantastic at a summer cookout. I didn't want to be rude and ask about the cost.
