Chinese in Staten Island

Being from Bayonne and too lazy to schlep all the way to Chinatown for good Chinese food, I found a delightful restaurant in SI, China New Star, on the corner of Forest Ave. and Arnprior, just down the road from Perkins. I love the proximity to the bridge (easy for me), but the staff is friendly, the menu is huge, and they have pan-fried noodles, my absolute favorite. They do have take-out, but you'll want to hang out there munching on their salad (the dressing, while mysterious, is wonderful). Their spicy food isn't very spicy unless you ask for it. . .I found their General Tso's chicken decidedly tame. But the prices are moderate, and it's a nice night out if you're sick of eating out of the take-out box. Enjoy!
