CHINESE EGG CUSTARD ... tour de force

I'm soliciting any and all recs for Chinese Egg Custard, you know those tart-like contraptions with a flaky crust and rich custard/eggy fillings topped with optional things like fruit, jelly, etc.

Anyhow, I'm planning on doing a sample of the greater SGV to find out who makes the best ones.

So far I've got the basic dim sum places in SGV down, so no need to point those out.

Any particular bakeries I should target? JJ'S? Phoenix?
