Restaurants & Bars 22

I think that I've had chili twice in Chicago in ten years. Neither version was particularly memorable. [For the record, it was Mellow Yellow, in H.P., and Leo's, on Division.]

For alot of reasons, I've found myself craving some of the food pleasures of my distant past, this year. Chili happens to be one of them.

Can anyone recommend a place that serves good chili? I am going to specifically ask for City recommendations. When its this cold, I'm not schlepping.

Bonus points if the place serves beer, as well. [Smoky bars are fine.]
Extra bonus points if its a beanless version.
