Chico recommendations

Hi all. My father, a true 'hound, recently moved from Stockton to Chico. While Stockton was perfect for his preferences (ethnic, cheap and fabulous), Chico is proving a disappointment. He thrives on Korean, Vietnamese, authentic Chinese, Turkish, Greek food (they fit in well with his diabetes)- but hasn't been able to find places that aren't Americanized or set up for college students. Can anybody help?

Also, are there farmer's markets up that way? He claims that they're all seasonal and can't find local produce. I lived up there once too, but seem to remember not only great supplies of of mandarins (now out of season) but kiwis, tomatoes (in season, obviously) and good early greens before the heat hits. Am I remembering right?

Thanks, your help is much appreciated!
