I've noticed that commodity chicken producers (Tyson, Perdue etc.)seem to be wanting to sell less whole chickens but more "parts" in supermarkets where I shop, much to my chagrin. Anyone else seeing this? I rarely see discounted whole fryers anymore but boneless skinless breasts
and skin on thighs and legs are always on sale. Maybe it's because of the "cube" or the freight volume for shipping must be higher for whole birds than for parts because of their empty cavities?
