I met a friend for drinks at Home last night, where the Tuesday night special is chicken pot pie ($11.95). It seemed 50% or more of the entrees leaving the kitchen were the pot pie. Bucking tradition, the pie is served in an oblong dish. I almost couldn't get over the shape (in fact, I had to ask a server to be sure it was the pot pie). According to the bartender, this dish is among their most popular dishes. In fact, he even sold two to go to people at the bar (I am not sure how this dish could possibly travel well taken out of the ramekin).
Has anyone tried it? I may make it a destination next Tuesday.
