Why did the chicken cross the world? (WHYY Interview)

I thought this is a wonderful interview about chicken. I knew we bred our chicken, but I didn't know there was a "Chicken of Tomorrow" contest which resulted vast majority of today's American chicken. At about 30:00, we can hear some of problems of this breed. Kind of the same problem of today's turkey.
