Chicago Hound working in Elmwood/Harahan

Seth Zurer | Apr 8, 200305:48 PM

I'll be in New Orleans next sunday and monday. My current plan is to head straight to Frankie and Johnnie's sunday night for dinner, work monday, and monday dinner at Jacque Imo's. But lunch? I'll be working in Elmwood, just north of Harahan. It's too far to go to uglesich or even into the New Orleans proper. Is there good food to be had within spitting distance of where I'll be, that I can get the client to take me to? In and out in 45 minutes? Maybe a brilliant po boy or some boudin selling grocery? Or is it the strip mall tract development type office park area that I'm imagining?

Also, what do you think of Frankie and Johnny's? I have it on good authority from the Mayor of Chicago chowhound that this spot is not to be missed.
