A big thank you to all the chowhounders who recommended Kiki's to my husband and me. We took our family there (and we did surprise the parents!!!) who were in from England to celebrate my husbands birthday.

Just as many of your comments said, the food was excellent, the price was perfect for a group of six (the seventh one from the UK couldn't make it but my sister in law figured it out when she read the chowhound site!- clever sis). The wine list was great and so reasonable - nothing like NY prices that's for sure.

I had the fois gras and soft shell crabs and would recommend them highly!!! Great lamb also (my husband is a real lamb snob since we find that American lamb has no taste anymore so we tend to like New Zealand and Kiki's was from NZ).

So thank you all again and keep up the good work this was right on (or... spot on... as the Brits say!)

Best wishes to all in the Chicago area, Lane and David
