Does anyone have a poundcake recipe that incorporates maraschino cherries into the cake? My mom had found a recipe like this in the food section of our local paper (Philadelphia Inquirer) about a year ago, but has since lost the recipe...yet retained her craving. I've found a few recipes online that could be viable, but can't get a feel for whether they're worthwhile or not.
Stipulations: recipe must use butter and not shortening and recipe should preferrably be tailored for a loaf pan, though this isn't critical.
