Cherries at Olson's

Nancy Berry | May 26, 200205:08 PM

Went down to Olson's Cherries in Sunnyvale yesterday to see what was available. They had some beautiful Rainiers and some Burlats (I don't like those much) and a few Bings. They said that next week the Bings should be in full season. I can't wait!

By the way, they will be opening their new stand on El Camino near Mathilda in Sunnyvale next weekend and they're having a cherry festival on June 8th and 9th. Also, they said that they'll be featured on Martha Stewart on June 24th.

I really think that these are the best sweet cherries available anywhere. And Deborah Olson said that she's found some sources for tart cherries and is keeping a list of those who would like to purchase these for pies, etc. so that she can call them when they are available at the stand. If they are as good as the sweet cherries, I'll be first in line to get some!
