Looking for a great Chef's table (6 people) in DC for my father's 60th Birthday in late September. I have spoken to the folks at Citronelle and it sounds perfect. Two Problems- 1. cost is rather high ($175 w/o wine, $250 w/wine)and 2. the rest of my family does not have as much appreciation of gastronomical pleasures as my wife and I do. It might just be too nice. Any thoughts for another place where we could still have the special experience of a chef's table, but less of a fear that the food will be "lost" on the family?
