Although I'm not to happy to see that the once-vaunted
Junior's has lost its luster, I was glad to see it on
the places-to-avoid message board.

If you're looking for a replacement, and you're willing
to travel for it, a friend of mine has found a place
that we believe to be tops in the city: Cascon

It's in Whitestone, Queens, on 149th Street, at the
corner of 7th Avenue. (heading north, it's the last
exit before you hit the Whitestone Bridge).

Junior's is still OK, but it's really sad to see how
it's missed a beat since commercializing the name a
year or two ago. I assure you: Junior's these days
can't even hold a candle to Cascon. Check it out. You
won't be disappointed.
