Cheers -- Thai restaurant -- Williamsburg

Forget Planeat Thailand and the Thai Cafe and Amarin, my favorite Thai restaurant in NW Brooklyn is Cheers on Metropolitan between Lorimer and Leonard. All of the regular dishes are there, prepared perfectly, but look for unusual, delicious selections like Tao Hu Hor (bean curd skin wrapped around mushrooms and bean curd, topped with a bean sauce and spinach) or Hobo Noodles (simple but perfect: broad noodles in a tomato-y soy sauce with basil). Joy the owner is a sweetheart and they have a nice garden in the back to dine in. I'll never suffer through the incredibly poor service, bad art and unnecessary DJ music at Planeat again.
