Sometimes you're rolling on a budget and a $20 meal does not seem reasonable. If this is the case then I have some places to offer in Vaughan for those students on a budget. Take it from someone who is constantly running around with hungry kids.

Ikea:

You would be surprised how underrated the furniture giant is, I am not ashamed to say I eat here from time to time. Obviously you should not expect gourmet food but for the price and quantity you cannot go wrong. Great place to with family or even just two people, after you're done eating you can walk it off in Ikeas maze of a store. Their selection has increased and you'd be surprised by some foods they have

Costco:

Besides getting a good portion of food from their samples, costco's food court also provides some really really affordable for food. Great for those fast food cravings or pregnancy cravings lol!! Costco is cheaper than your local McDonald's and to buy the food you do not need a membership. They have your basic greasy food, Pizza, Poutines, Chicken Tenders, Hotdog (combo for $1.75!) and dessert.

Big Bone BBQ

Talk about getting your money's worth, Big Bone has family combos that can feed up to two families. You cannot go wrong with their ribs and fries, I find myself going there during the winter when making your own ribs is not really an option. Sitting down to eat isn't the best experience considering it's somewhat small on the inside so I usually take my food to go. But their food is definitely worth the money you pay and their Monday deals are amazing.

Popular Pizza

I was introduced to this small pizza place by my nephew, I heard they had an accident and it was temporarily closed due to an automobile crash so I'm not sure if its open. I will make this clear, do not expect quality. You're paying $1 a slice without tax so obviously its not gonna be gourmet pizza but this place was amazing in regards to feeding hungry kids after a long day at wonderland.

Maple Dragon

Their lunch specials are about as far as i'll go when it comes to decent pricing, they also do delivery after a certain limit ($15-20 I think), I personally have not had any bad experiences with their food and the lunch special is $8, if you're in the mood for Chinese, not a bad option.

Polo Loco

$5 fridays? How can you go wrong, you get a decent serving with chicken, rice, potatoes and a drink. If you're in the mood for Portuguese and want some food during work, this is the place to go.

These are my recommendations from my own experience, not everyone has the same standards or taste but keep in mind this for rolling on a budget or just wanting to eat out. Let me know if you know any other places around vaughan
