Stopped in last evening for a couple of pints and dinner. There have been a few posts on the food there recently and I've got to say that I too, shall sing their praises.
Sandwiches are only $8. I considered a burger but went with the fish sandwich based on my friend's recommendation. It was served on thick slices of (I think) potato bread - nice and soft to sop up all the tartar sauce. On the sandwich was a very lightly battered and fried piece of fish, plus some mixed greens. This comes with a MONSTER plate of hand-cut fries - skins on - hot and cooked to that perfect crispiness, where the ends are pretty crunchy. Douse that with malt vinegar and have a side of mayo on hand? Oh yeah.
I'm not saying it's a destination spot, but for me it was the perfect pub experience. Music is not too loud, great friendly neighborhood feel, you have a couple pints and some inexpensive comfort food and head on home. All in all, a great value.
