Charley Brown's Turns Into Chinese Buffet

Chandavkl | Dec 15, 201401:47 PM     1

This is the Charley Brown just north of the Montebello Town Center, in Rosemead. Certainly one of the nicest Chinese buffet premises in the LA area in term of spaciousness and ambiance. Looks like they took over Charley's liquor cabinet, too, as there is a full bar. This is another Chinese buffet clothed in a Japanese name, Kami Buffet and Grill. Some nice touches here in addition to the bar, such as getting an egg fried at the teppan grill, popcorn in the dessert area, and at least 20 sushi items. (Sushi here is marginally better than Kome in Industry.) Weekday lunch is $9.59, dinner $13.99, with senior discounts. Street address is 909 S. San Gabriel Blvd. (Thanks to my "agent" Judy Isozaki for spotting this from the freeway after wondering why the formerly empty restaurant parking lot was so full. Not likely that anyone would pass by here unless you're headed to the freeway or mall.)
