I have a long standing itch for char sui bao that sometimes (like now) is overwhelming. I know that I can find the frozen version at H-mart (not very convenient) and maybe some other stores nearer to me (asian market on York RD maybe?). I have what looks like a good recipe for homemade, but before I take the time plunge for that, and for future quick fixes, does anybody know of a place in near 83 in Baltimore, or north of Baltimore that sells ready to eat Char Sui Bao? I know that's sort of a narrow corridor, but I live right off 83, and if I'm going to drive more than 15 minutes I might as well go to a real dim sum place in Columbia or out rt 40 and buy a whole bunch to freeze. I can't be the only char sui bao addict around, so how do you guys do it? thanks.
