Chapel Hill: Bill Neal Query

I've been reading Bill Neal's fine southern cookbook, called "Biscuits, Spoon Bread, and Sweet Potato Pie." The book jacket says he was the chef at Crook's Corner circa 1990. Does anyone know what he's doing now? I don't much like Crook's Corner, but if he's gone elsewhere I would certainly be interested in giving his kitchen a try.
