Went to Chandra for the first time this weekend and I was very pleased. Remarkably cute interior - 50's ish type chairs, neat plates, color block painted walls. All the odder because it is essentially the front restaurant for a 2 star no-name motel. Shared the beef lard appetizer with SO - really outstandingly spiced beef. Nice size portion - just enough to split without spoiling my appetite. SO had the bbq chicken - very tender. I had the pad thai - yummy and peanutty. Somewhat bland though -I should have said for it to be hot. SO had the Thai iced tea - sugary and yummy - and I had good strong regular tea, served with an individual size teapot and a very cute little tea cup. I felt like I had reverted to being 5 years old. I liked it. Good portions of food all around - SO and I were full without being stuffed.
Total was $29, including tip. Great, friendly, fast service, free parking. Good stuff!
