Hi Chowhounds! I've been reading your board for a while and your knowledge of LA restaurants/eateries/bars is pretty impressive.
I have the difficult task of looking for a venue for my company's summer party. There were be about 60-70 people and our entire budget is $5,000. We have the following constraints:
1) The food must be delicious.
2) It must be a place suitable for children, although not necessarily aimed toward entertaing children. In other words, casual enough so that we can place a table in the corner where kids can draw and nothing lascivious like Hooters.
3) Ideally, it would be outside or at least be bright, airy enough to feel summery.
4) Most ideally, it would have an activity associated wtih the venue so that people could do something if they didn't want to socialize.(We checked out bowling lanes and Dodger Stadium but these places didn't work out.)
We are flexible on the location - Westside, North Hollywood/Universal City, Los Angeles.
Thank you so much for your insight!
