On my last day in New Orleans, last week Wednesday, I went to Central Grocery and had one of thier wonderful Muffalettas. I also grabbed 2 jars of the the Olive salad that they sell.
Because I was in a rush to make it to the airport, I didnt stop to read the labeling on the jar that said that they "recommend" that the jars be kept under refrigeration, even if unopened. The problem is that I'm staying here in Las Vegas until Thursday, with no refrigerator in my hotel room (though I like to keep the A/C at around 67 degrees).
Is the olive salad still safe to eat, considering that it hasnt been refrigerated since the day I bought it last week Wednesday afternoon? And will it still be safe to eat when I get back home on Thursday afternoon?
I bought these as gifts for my coworker back home, so it would suck if these are no good already.
