Just had lunch at this restaurant in downtown Black Mtn(Cherry St). A much needed addition to that area's restaurant scene. They've been open since June. You can either enter from Cherry st and go down a flight of stairs or around back which is ground level. Subdued lighting and wooden tables and chairs with colorful modern art on the walls. I had one of the day's specials which were little "bowls" of homemade whole wheat rolls stuffed with sauteed mushrooms and onions along with a cup of a tasty gazpacho with a hint of fennel and made more colorful with yellow peppers. All 5 women I dined with were very pleased with their choices (no mean accomplishment!). One who got the vegetarian sandwich with sweet potato, avocado and mushrooms pronounced it "the best sandwich she'd ever eaten!". Many vegetarian options. The dinner menu looked very interesting with duck, seafood, and steak along with vegetarina options - I'll definitely give it a try.
