Finally a spot in Dublin (out in the tri-valley) that is NOT a chain! American Comfort food that is suprisingly affordable and worth every penny. The chef uses local seasonal ingredients to re-create all those dishes we grew up with and love. I mean, grilled cheese with an aged white cheddar and tomato soup? I'm all about that!
Also the blackened catfish was amazing! With crispy polenta cakes and shrimp succotash with sweet white corn and fresh english peas from local farmers, it was to die for! Catfish always tasted muddy to me but this was soooo good!
Desserts are cool too! a Chocolate "Fix" which can be a mystery of chocolatey goodness, to the cookie plate served with a glass of Malted ovaltine, to the fresh and warm d'oh nut holes served with sweet dipping sauces.
I'm soooo going back this weekend!
