Celebrating my husband's 60th Birthday

jackieap | Dec 9, 201401:33 PM     15

I am interested in celebrating my husband's 60th birthday in NYC with a few close friends and family- probably 9 people in total. I have looked into reserving Eleven Madison Park and the Nomad. They only seat 6 people max at the tables in their main dining room. They have availability for what they consider private dining. The problem with private dining is the cost escalates considerably because they tack on administrative fees and they also have an expense minimum that they require.

Can anyone recommend a high end restaurant that might not have that minimum? Or is it tacky to just reserve 2 tables in the main dining room?

Any advise you can give me would be very helpful. Thank you.
