Where to celebrate good health news?

Deenso | Oct 21, 2004 10:41 AM

After getting scary news as a result of a stress test (no previous symptoms), my husband has just had a double angioplasty and is feeling great, thank heavens. He'll be getting out of the hospital tomorrow and wants to celebrate his good fortune. According to our old lifestyle and eating habits, we'd go someplace like Brasserie LCB or Le Bernardin. But I think - and I'm sure he'll agree - our old way of celebrating happy events by going to dinner at a fabulous restaurant and having, among other things, foie gras and caviar, has obviously got to change. (We'd like to have lots more years of celebrations.) We'll be consulting a dietician about how to proceed from here on in but, meanwhile, I need suggestions as to where we should go for this big night out on Friday or Saturday. I was thinking that sushi or pasta would be good options, but I'd appreciate any heart-healthy Manhattan restaurant ideas you might have.
