Came into town to visit my Smithie, and we decided to give Mr. Cecil's Ribs a try. I'd had them in LA, and they were passable. Not so in Noho. We shared an order of beef ribs, bbq beans, and cornbread. Beef ribs are by nature fatty, but these had the highest ratio of fat to meat I've ever seen. Beans were average, corn bread mediocre. Their bbq sauce was reminiscent of any number of bottled sauces I've tasted over the years. Maybe other menu items are better, but Smithie and I agreed we never needed to eat there again.
