Casual brewpub or gastropub for party of 14 just before Christmas

Food Tourist | Nov 6, 201404:59 PM     33

I realize we are going to be inundated with similar requests from all kinds of Hounds who are planning Christmas parties, but please indulge me.

The trick is one person is visiting from England and meeting the other 13 people for the first time -- but is excessively shy and would like a casual brewpub burger atmosphere where he's not always in the hot seat (like in a quieter finer dining atmosphere).

The next trick is that the other 13 people are passionate Chowhounds who are very critical of food quality, taste, presentation and value for money.

Anyone know of a place that takes reservations on a Friday night at prime time in the south-west GTA that can please all 14 of us and still cost $60- $80 per person all in?

We have in the past gathered at Richmond Station private room very successfully albeit without shy guy.
