Need some cast iron reseasoning advice.

I have been cooking with cast iron for about a year and love it. But after making stroganoff last night in my big CI skillet, I noticed the burger was sticking pretty bad so after I cleaned it up I decided to bake some more oil into the pan. I swiped some canola oil in, laid it face down in the oven and baked it at 350 for about 2 hours. What came out was a sticky mess! What do I do now. I do not have a self cleaning oven any longer, I got one low temp steam model. I do have a Weber gas grill outside, however I live in MN, very cold out and I don't know if I can maintain the heat to clean this pan. Help me please! Thanks.
