I'm not in the Seattle area, but a friend of mine went to a restaurant called Cascade last night and was underwhelmed. He said there was too much emphasis on presentation (the mushroom soup came served in a can for the diner to pour into a plate/bowl which was a cute detail) and not enough on substance (mushroom soup tasted like pureed wild mushrooms and cream and not much else). Has anyone else been to this one? Was it silly of me even to post anything about it because it's unworthy even of mention? (As I say, I'm not that familiar with the Seattle area -- but he went because it was recommended by a local restaurant reviewer).
