A good friend of mine is visiting from out of town. She's on a low-carb diet.
My first instinct was that we'd go to Peter Luger or a riodizio. I spoke with her further, and she corrected me. What she needs is a place that serves: (1) protein, but preferable lean (so fish or grilled chicken are better than a juicy Porterhouse) and (2) green vegetables.
I'm sure that we could go anywhere and she could find the above, but does anyone have any brainstorms about places meeting the above two requirements? My diet tends toward vegetables, dumplings, rice, and noodle side, so I'm not much good at low-carbing.
Downtown or Brooklyn are best, but since I'll be showing her around town anyway, I don't mind travelling.
