Capon? Fresh??

Before I burn up all my $3 gas, does anyone know of a source for capons? I used to get'em frozen from markets back in Nashville, but I don't recall even seeing those here, unless it's some kind of seasonal item. I'd really like to find fresh ones; not only is thawing a largish bird an unpredictably drawn-out process, it takes up an awful lot of refrigerator space while you're waiting for it.

I'm in Pasadena, but I will travel. I intend to ask at the two poultry places in Farmer's Market next time I'm there, and I'll look at Bristol Farms and Gelson's in this neck of the woods. Any other ideas? Chinatown?
